In late 2008, we started a blog: HistoricalTweets.com. We did zero marketing, spent no money. We just made daily content that made us laugh.
People shared it, without us even asking. Six months later, we got 3 million page views in just one weekend. And a month later, we had a book deal with Random House.
Historical Tweets: The Completely Unabridged and Ridiculously Brief History of the World hit shelves in mid 2010.
The rest is history. Best-selling book lists. Lots of satisfied fans. A follow-up 2012 daily calendar.
It was the starting point for McBeard: where we help the top brands in the world create social media worth sharing.
The book is available in stores and online, all around the United States.
